Punjab Police Registers Case Following Autopsy of Shubhkaran Death During Farmer Protest Metal Pellets Found in Head.

A week following the death of young farmer Shubhkaran Singh during a farmers protest Punjab Police has initiated a murder case against an unidentified individual. The case filed under sections 302 and 114 of the Indian Penal Code originates from the Patran Police station in Patiala based on Shubhkarans father complaint. Shubhkaran aged 21 succumbed to a fatal head injury caused by a firearm amid clashes between protesting farmers and Haryana security personnel at the Khanauri border point on February 21st. An autopsy report revealed the presence of metal pellets in his head indicating pote. Prior to the autopsy a CT scan identified multiple metal pellets in Shubhkarans head. Additionally a report from the Hindustan Times stated that the autopsy revealed an injury mark on the occipital region of Shubhkarans body.
