A 19-year-old youth, identified as Sanjay Pal was apprehended for impersonating another student during a high school examination conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) at CBS Convent School in Gwalior district. Pal had attempted exams for four subjects before being caught during the fifth paper. District Education Officer Ajay Katiyar stated that officials discovered Pals identity mismatched with the original students profile leading to his apprehension by the police. A departmental investigation is ongoing with action promised against any guilty parties. Katiyar explained the delay in identification due to consistent changes in examiners but immediate action was taken upon discovery. Following the incident Katiyar issued notifications to all center heads and informed relevant education and district administration officials. The MP board examinations for Class 10 and 12 began on February 5 2024 and are scheduled to conclude on March 5, 2024.
