At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona OnePlus revealed its second generation smartwatch the OnePlus Watch 2. This upgraded model boasts several enhancements over its predecessor which initially launched in India in 2021. The OnePlus Watch 2 features improved battery life design and features and it operates on Google latest Wear OS 4. Inspired by the design of the OnePlus 12 series the OnePlus Watch 2 sports a 2.5D sapphire crystal cover and a chassis made of US military standard MIL STD 810H stainless steel. It offers IP68 water and dust resistance and weighs approximately 49g without the strap and 80g with it. The smartwatch comes with a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and a peak brightness of up to 600 nits. Under the hood, the OnePlus Watch 2 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 SoC along with the BES 2700 MCU Efficiency chipset. The Snapdragon chipset handles demanding tasks like managing Google apps while the Efficiency chipset manages background activities and simpler tasks. It is equipped with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The OnePlus Watch 2 is powered by a 500 mAh battery delivering up to 100 hours of battery life in smart mode and up to 48 hours in ‘heavy use . It supports fast charging and can be fully charged in 60 minutes using a 7.5W VOOC fast charger.
