The Delhi Chalo march by farmers has been halted until February 29 following the death of a protester Shubhkaran Singh at the Khanauri border. The farmer leaders demand justice and refuse to allow the autopsy or cremation until an FIR is filed against Haryana Police. They seek martyr status for Shubh Karan Singh and await Punjab Police to file a case against Haryana Police officials. Despite Punjab offer of compensation the family insists on justice. The protest march resumption is postponed pending justice for Shubh Karan Singh with further actions to be decided after a meeting. Meanwhile another farmer has died at the Khanauri border bringing the death toll to four during the ongoing protest.
