Shanmukh Jaswanth known for his participation in Bigg Boss Telugu and his presence on YouTube has encountered legal issues following a report by TV9. Allegations surfaced after ganja was discovered at his residence leading to his arrest by Hyderabad police. The situation arose from a case involving Shanmukh brother Sampath Vinay who reportedly faced accusations of deception from a woman he was engaged to. Despite Sampath not being present during the police visit Shanmukh was found with ganja and subsequently taken into custody. Both Shanmukh and his brother are facing separate cases with investigations currently ongoing. In 2021 Shanmukh faced legal trouble when he was arrested in Hyderabad for driving under the influence of alcohol. His reckless driving resulted in collisions with three parked cars and two bikes. Tests revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was at 170 mg/100 ml. Following his appearance in court Shanmukh was directed to attend counseling sessions at the traffic training institute. However reports from The Indian Express suggested that Shanmukh tried to influence law enforcement officials and skipped a counseling session prior to his sentencing.
