Selvaraghavan who directed Dhanush debut film Thulluvadho Ilamai in 2002 addressed rumors suggesting his involvement in writing the script for Dhanushs 50th project Raayan. While fans speculated his role in the project Selvaraghavan clarified on X that he had no part in the scripting process of Raayan. He emphasized that the project was solely Dhanushs vision stating I have NOTHING to do with RAAYAN script or scripting process. Selvaraghavan reiterated that he is only an actor in the project and expressed anticipation to watch Raayan in theaters. Raayan marks Dhanush 50th film and his second directorial venture after Pa Paandi in 2017. The film featuring Sundeep Kishan and Kalidas Jayaram in lead roles recently unveiled its title and first look. In the first look Dhanush is seen standing in front of what appears to be a food truck sporting a shaven head and mustache holding a pointed steel object. The film slated for release in Tamil Telugu and Hindi is eagerly awaited by fans. Apart from Raayan Dhanush is also busy with his maiden Telugu film directed by Sekhar Kammula which stars Nagarjuna Rashmika Mandanna and Jim Sarbh. Additionally he recently showed support for his ex wife Aishwarya Rajinikanth directorial venture Lal Salaam.
